As tears also have tears

Falling down the humid eyes,
Rolling down the smooth cheeks,
Reaching the curly lips,
I finally landed on the curvy chin.

Staying for a while,
Thinking for a time;
The journey to the unknown valley began-
In the meanwhile.

Dropping from a height,
Shivering with the fright;
I finally landed on the smooth palm,
That made me calm.

The palm asked-
Why do u leave your home?
And step into the world unknown;

To which I replied-
Everything has its own fate;
I am not the exception,
as I am a tear that also has a Tear.

INDORE.. Meri Jaan!!!

Being a native of Indore and after spending considerable part of my life there I am inspired to write about the City. Further, many people I come in contact are eager to know about the city and hence a post for all of them.
Indore is an upcoming city known for its mix culture and eating delicacies. You can find many delicacies that, perhaps you have never heard of and which varies from season to season. (longing to eat many such delicacies)

Having spent a major part of my early life there I never thought of comparing it with any other city of India. Because a few cities I used to visit regulalry were not on the same level as Indore and my stay used to be just for a few days. But now after visiting a few Tier II cities of country, and having spent a considerable time span there, I am in better position to compare them with Indore and give some rational view on the same. Though, I will not detail here the comparisons yet, I will definitely state the good things about my home town.

Whenever I say someone that I belong to Indore, and the first reaction I heard from everyone is that Ohh!! its a very nice place, I have visited so and so place in Indore, I was especially admired by such and such thing.

Some of the things that the people admire about Indore are-

*A small place with mixed and good culture. Hence no barrier in terms of culture and language patriotism.
*Eating delicacies like my roomy likes the Khopra paties of Indore and the Namkeen. Namkeen is very famous of Indore and as I have earlier mentione delicacies changes from season to season. So in Summers you have Kulfi to satisfy your taste buds so in winters you have Garadu to spice you. Then, in rainy season you have a variety of snacks made from corn and apart from this Chat are all time delicacies.
*The people. Almost everyone has said that the people of Indore are very good. Even though in Nirma we were so many people from Indore, and everyone else was the jealous of this fact, but they do appreciated Indoris' for their good and simple nature
*Though there might be not many place to visit in Indore but still people do remember a few place in Indore and near to Indore also like Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Mandav to name a few.

No doubt Indore has got a mixed culture wherein people live with great harmony and is very famous for sev and samosa and matka kulfi to name a few.

Proud to be an INDian and INDorian.

Dabangg... The Fearless!!!

I guess this is the meaning of the word. A word most prevalent in U.P., the place where the movie is shot.
Well the movie is good. A short movie with no story line, yet you will not get bored. The action by Salman Khan is appreciable, his role and his character of "Chulbul Pandey" in particular. In addition the songs are also good.
Sonakshi's debut film but she plays a good yet plain and simple role. As I am not a movie critic I will not say more on her role.
The movie reflects one part of India which is well known as the place of crime. But then the reel life is different from the real life. There is no Chulbul Pandey there. There might be Makhan Chand alias Makhi and Cheedi Singh. but less of Chulbul Pandey.
However there needs to be some twist in the movies from the real world to make worth to watch.

I would recommend the movie as worth watching especially for them who like action movies.

Power.... Corrupts people???? or the other Way Round!!!!

Power

When I started writing this blog the first few words that comes to my mind are- “Give me the power”.. the famous punch line from the serial ‘Shaktiman’...

Everyone desires power, everyone on this earth wants to have unlimited power so as to have easy control on others.

Power can be in three forms-

ü Power of information

ü Power of money

ü Power of position

Don’t know which of the above mentioned form of power is the best, more rewarding or is more desirable. But ya, one thing is true that Power corrupts People.

Once the people have the power in their hands they think of others as their minion and start exploiting them. Also given access to powers wastage of resources is also immense.

Once should always save himself/herself from the ill effects of power, because if in future there arises some instances when you really don’t have power and that would be a very hard time of your life. When you enjoy power you also enjoy unnecessary flattery, support from everyone and everything you demand. But when power is not there people try to take return of all the good things they have done to you.

But there is the corollary also which says ‘People corrupts Power’. Well can be true. Ultimately it’s in the hands of human how to use a particular gift.

Hence, perhaps Power is not bad, it is it’s use by people which makes it bad.

To put it wisely, - “Not all people wish power, sane people stay away from it”.

SomeThing

You want Something,
You get something.
Something that you get,
may be the thing you wanted
Or may be the thing you never wanted.
But this Something that you get
Changes your life, in a while
Whether for good or bad
That God only knows!!!
That Something, you wanted
was based on, your past experiences
The Something you get,
Decides your future actions
Hence in life
when, we are sure to get Something
then why we beg for that Something
when we are not sure of the Something
we ultimately bag!!!

A Sense of Void

A Void

Have you ever felt void in your life at any moment??
Well in a person’s life there can be many moments when s/he has a feeling of void. Some such instance are-

Ø The period between two projects that remains idle
Ø After completion of a challenging task
Ø After death of some one,
Ø Breaking of love
Ø Your loved ones’ going away from you for some reason
Ø Change of location, Job, relations and so on.

Same feeling I was experiencing yesterday, when my parents, who came to meet me just for a day, went back to home. I don’t know the reason but I felt melancholic, for the entire evening. I was feeling as if something important is going away from me
It’s now three years I have been away from home, never felt like this ever before. Don’t know precisely the reason for this, but ya I did have a feeling of empty space not just in my home but also my life.

Life- A Play

What is Life?? A most intriguing question that has perplexed manking for ages and is yet unanswerable to the satisfaction.

Everyone has got his/her own definition for the word- LIFE. For some it is a puzzle, some it is a job to be completed and for some it’s a heaven’s gift.

But for me life is a play, a drama, with different stages. These stages are- childhood, teenage, youth, mid-oldies and finally oldies.
He curtain is unveiled with our birth and we are taught to play the, I stage of childhood.
We learn many things in this stage and this is the formation stage, preparing us for next part i.e. for teenage and then the age of youths. Similarly we enter other stages and finally one day the curtain is drawn with our death.

But one thing that we should learn from this play that we get chance to play every stage, just once. We, however much we yearn, we will not get the chance to play a previous stage ever again. Also, the people who were with us at one stage may or may not continue to play with us in the next stage. Hence, we should be very careful while playing our role, so that we don’t have regrets ahead in life.

In nutshell-
“Life is a play, create and cherish memories ate every stage.”

Kismet-Karma

Kismet, Fate, Luck or chance or destiny... all these are perhaps similar sounding words. I don't know exactly what do these words mean. Have never believed in something called as luck, because for me it was all the result of your deeds. Whatever I got in my life was mainly a result of my hard work, my deeds.Hence for me Karma was more important than Kismet. But in past one year this definition seems to change. Today I have started believing in Fate. I have seen if your luck is not with you, no matter how hard you tries, how good your deeds are, how noble your intentions are nothing can happen. You cant get the desirable thing in life if your luck is not with you. Hence I am forced to think that what is the benefit of fighting so hard in life. If everything is pre-decided for you then why should you worry about the future. And I am forced to think- Is it Karma or Kismet that affects your life, the most?? Two quotes with which I would like to end- " Never take life too seriously, no one comes out alive from it" " Life can change in a Blink, but God seldom Blinks"

India…. A pot of variety of pebbles

I guess instead of calling India a land of “Unity in Diversity”, it’s better to name it something different. No doubt, India is still a land of unity in Diversity but the growing dissent from various factions for separate state is endangering the very unity of the country.

Actually India is a pot-belly of various creeds having their own caste, language, living style which somehow fails to mix with each other. Infact, it is not some sudden uprising. People in our country never got mingled with each other. The only thing is that with coming of various political groups the people are voicing their demands in an explicit way. And once a particular group start raising its voice the other group gets new courage to voice its own demand and the process continues.

From 25 states we have exceeded to 28 states and the counting still continues.

But one question arises is the cost-benefit analysis of such an exercise. Three states which were created a decade ago viz., Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttrakhand have become better stated in some way that they were utilize their resources in a better way. Peoples’ rights were also recognized and their living status became better. Unique qualities or a particular area can be timely recognized and effectively utilized.

But this has also become a looming threat to the very basic unity of the country. We can see rising unrest in the states like Telangana, Gorkha land in east and may be some more. For this I blame our political parties. India is the country having largest number of political parties including the ones at the regional level. They bring fore the caste issues, the regional issues, the language issues and raise great hue and cry. Examples are plenty to support my argument like Mumbai-North India divide, Dalit-General (Caste) divide.

But the political parties are not enough to create a smashing scene and they are in turn joined by the DJ, VJ (read- celebrities), who give music to the show. Then starts the blame game and riots and dharna and processions and so on and the party continues.

Within political parties also more and more parties are created and this birth process never stops. I would suggest that these political parties should definitely adopt the birth control measures and put entry barriers on the new upcoming parties which are especially created out of some internal parties’ rivalry. But alas! This is not the case with the Indian political class. They just not only multiply within themselves but also create multiple issues of no use and also multiple states.

If this internal mutiny is not controlled then that day is not far when India will have to change its name.

Wish for Opposite -)

We human beings are strange.. How???
When it is hot,
We want cool,
When it is cool,
We want hot
The rich people
Praise the life of poor..
Free of any sophistication
The poor people
Dream for the life of rich
Fully lavish &
Fully satisfying
Girl’s envies guy’s life,
Full of freedom
Guy’s envies girl’s life,
Which is free of tension
Thus, human being is
A strange specie
Always wanting-
What is NOT.

Go Away...

Walking in my life,
You made it glow like a bright light
Showing me the sunshine and the twilight
You made my life cheerful and bright
Walking out of my life,
You opened my eyes
Made me realize that
You took me on a ride all the while
The more slowly you came
The more rapidly you walked out
Sowing the little happiness
Bearing the fruit of agony all along
Today I sit alone and think
Why did you ever came
Why do you still remain…
In my thoughts and in my dreams
Please go away
Go away forever
...From my dreams and my thoughts
Leaving me in my slot

Risk...

To laugh is to risk appearing fool

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental

To reach out for another is to risk involvement

To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self

To place your ideas, your dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss

To love is to risk not being loved in return

To live is to risk dying

To hope is to risk despair

To try is to risk failure

But risk must be taken because the greatest risk in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, has nothing and is nothing. They may have avoided sufferings and failures but they have not experienced hope, love, change and success.

So risk the risk in life.

So Many... So Little

So many things to complain about,
So little things to cheer;
So many places to visit,
So little time to explore.
So much of work to do,
So little days to work upon;
So many dreams to accomplish,
So little time to sleep and dream.
So many new friends to be made,
So little old friends remains together;
So many people to care about,
So little space to care for self.
So much to express,
So little to say;
So much of wrongs
So little of wrights.
Life has become a Pandora box,
Of grievances and cribbing,
And of misgivings;
With little to enjoy.

Indian Education System

Amir Khan’s movies, have once again raised issues regarding the education system in India, the problems and pressures that the little helpless kids have to undergo and in this vast world of teachers and parents, no one to hear their voice and their problems.
His internationally acclaimed movie, “Taare Zameen Par” highlighted the issue of dyslexia, a rare disease. The poor kid was not able to make his problem understand to anyone and was being mocked down by his peers in school and scolded back at home by the parents.

Amir’s the most recent movie, “3 Idiots” also highlighted the rot the education system is into.
No doubt, the current education system emphasizes more on ruttofying method of learning. No one pays attention to thinking out of the box, understanding the concepts. Right from elementary education to the higher education parents, teachers and society puts pressure on the students to come first, to secure good marks and to follow the sheep herd and go for the popular courses like Engineering, Medical or MBA and so on. Unconventional courses like literature, courses related to art etc. are not given due respect in the society. Students, as a result of which feels embarrassed, dejected and are forced to take extreme steps.
Education system definitely needs a overhaul. It has to be made more students friendly. It should be consistent across India. Students should be given especial recognition for thinking out of the box. And competition based on marks should be done away with. Instead there should be competition on the basis of innovative thinking, taking initiative and inter-personal qualities.
Parents should listen to the students and allow them to pursue the career of their choice. They should be given proper counseling and encouragement to make their dream come true.
But this requires effort from everyone, right from the government, to teachers, parents and society as a whole.
Hope the learning from the above two movies are taken in the right perspective and implemented soon for the betterment of the coming generation.
Then we can definitely say that movies are not just for tie pass. Rather, they are also the great teachers of the society.

3 IDIOTS

Words go less while describing this movie. After a long awaited time Bollywood witnessed a movie which can be seen umpteen number of times by the people of any age, a movie which is blockbuster, super-duper and simply amazing.

This movie has got appeals for people of all ages but it has got special charm for them who are in college or have recently passed out of their colleges/ hostel life.

There are some important lessons that this movie has got. These are-

1- kabil bano.. safalta khud tumhare paas aayegi. No doubt we have to make ourselves worthy of success

2- Never follow the sheep herd. Always create your own path and listen to your heart. Pursue career of your choice

3- Parents must understand their children interest and help them in pursuing those interests

4- Fun and work should go together

5- Be cool!!! All Izz Well!!!!

6- Be selfless in your help

7- Do not mug the things. Learn the basic concepts

These are some general lessons. But the greatest lesson is perhaps about friendship.. a selfless, never ending and true relation is the need of the life.

Have atleast 2 idiots as your friend and never forget them. Always be in touch with your friends coz, what hurts is not the noise of the strangers but the silence of the dear ones.

New Year

New is the year, new is the beginning,
New is the calendar, new is the wish
New are the hopes and new are the aspirations;
But old is the theme and old is the whim
New is the peg, new is the tag,
New are the likes, new are the dislikes
New is the fun and new is the game
But old is the sun and old is the moon
New is the role, new is the place
New are the solutions, new are the questions
New will be place and new will be the life
But old are the memories and old are the friends.
Something will come,
Something will go
Something will change
But never will I.
